Vogue Material Study
Vogue operates as a cultural manual, shaping ideals of womanhood through fashion, luxury, and image. It sells a lifestyle.
Vogue Material Study presents a series of hand-woven works crafted from 90s Vogue. Each weave brings two photographs of the same woman into conversation, sometimes harmonious, sometimes dissonant. The subject becomes a composite of selves, interlaced yet not whole. These spontaneous alignments and misalignments create poetic connections and offer an interesting direction for exploration.
